It would seem the obvious answer to avoid reflective metal roofs is to ensure the metal material finish used is non-reflective coatings/colors.

Solar Panels

Mahana Estates Design Guidelines encourage the use of solar and photovoltaic equipment for sustainabiliity
Neighboring Kapalua Plantation Guidelines Allow for Roof-Mounted Panels

Some discussion suggested KRA rules prohibited roof solar arrays, but the above seems to indicate that isn’t true. My research of the KRA CC&Rs didn’t uncover restrictions regarding where solar arrays are place (ground or roof).
